At least 20 people were killed and several others injured on Saturday night by an Israeli airstrike targeting the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, the Palestinian official news agency WAFA reported.
A number of wounded Palestinians, including children, were rescued from under the rubble, with search and rescue work underway, it said.
The Israeli army has repeatedly struck the Nuseirat camp. In a recent attack in mid-May, Israeli warplanes bombed a residential building owned by the Karaja family in the south of the camp, killing at least 40 people.
