A powerful earthquake of magnitude 7.1 struck the Tibet region of China, close to the border with Nepal, early Tuesday morning, leading to the tragic loss of at least 53 lives. The seismic event, centered in the mountainous area of Tingri County, caused significant damage, with numerous buildings collapsing in the vicinity of the epicenter. Reports indicate that 38 others were injured in this natural disaster.
