China allocates extra 350 mln yuan to flood-hit regions

China has announced an additional 350 million yuan (about 49 million U.S. dollars) of investment from its central budget to the regions affected by severe flooding, according to state media.

The funds will be used for emergency relief, reconstruction, and disaster prevention in the provinces of Hebei, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, and Heilongjiang.

The floods have also damaged thousands of homes, bridges, highways, and crops in the affected regions.
