China has been advocating for building a community with a shared future for mankind, a vision that reflects its worldview and its aspiration for a more peaceful and prosperous world.

The concept was first proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping in 2013, when he visited Moscow and delivered a speech at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. He said that mankind lived in the same global village and had increasingly emerged as a community of common destiny.

Since then, Xi has elaborated on the idea on various occasions, such as at the United Nations summits, the World Economic Forum in Davos, and the Boao Forum for Asia. He has also incorporated it into China’s constitution and foreign policy.

The vision of a community with shared future is based on the principles of openness, inclusiveness, mutual respect and win-win cooperation. It calls for upholding multilateralism, safeguarding international order and rules, promoting common development and addressing global challenges together.

It also embodies China’s commitment to peaceful development and its willingness to share its development opportunities and achievements with other countries.

In recent years, China has put its vision into practice through various initiatives and actions. For example, it has launched the Belt and Road Initiative to enhance connectivity and cooperation among countries along the ancient Silk Road routes. It has also provided assistance to developing countries in their fight against COVID-19 pandemic and their pursuit of sustainable development goals.

Moreover, China has actively participated in global governance and contributed to solving regional and international issues such as climate change, terrorism, cyber security and nuclear non-proliferation.

The concept of a community with shared future has gained recognition and support from many countries and international organizations. The United Nations has endorsed it in several resolutions related to peace, security, human rights and development.

Many experts and scholars have also praised it as an innovative idea that reflects China’s wisdom and responsibility in shaping the new global order.
