Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) has launched a ballistic missile toward its eastern waters, according to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff. This missile test comes just one day after South Korean military intelligence informed lawmakers that DPRK appears to have completed preparations for its seventh nuclear test.
The intelligence report indicated that Pyongyang is also nearing the capability to test a long-range missile, potentially capable of reaching the United States (US). This development has raised alarms within the region and beyond, highlighting the ongoing escalation of military activities by both sides.
In addition to South Korean reports, the Japanese Coast Guard confirmed that a ballistic missile was fired by DPRK further emphasizing the seriousness of the situation.
Since 2022, DPRK has significantly increased the frequency of its weapons tests, showcasing its advancing missile technology and raising concerns among neighboring countries about regional stability and security.
