In an unprecedented scene at the White House, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, joined President Donald Trump for what was billed as an informal gathering but turned into a potent display of influence.
Musk defended the reforms taking place during Trump’s second term. While answering journalists’ questions, Musk stated, “People voted for democracy, not bureaucracy.”
There has been a wide range of reforms implemented in the U.S. government, aimed at ending massive corruption and reducing government spending abroad. Notably, USAID has been shut down due to its involvement in what was described as “ghost spending” abroad with U.S. taxpayer money.
Musk defended these policies and reforms in the presence of Donald Trump in the Oval Office.
