The 14th Annual Meeting of the New Champions (AMNC), also known as the Summer Davos, will be held in Tianjin, China from 27 to 29 June. This will be the Forum’s first in-person meeting in Asia for over three years.
This year’s forum is titled “Entrepreneurship: The Driving Force of the Global Economy,” and has six core themes: rewiring growth; China in the global context; energy transition and materials; safeguarding nature and climate; post-pandemic consumers; and deploying innovation.
The meeting comes at a time when the global economy is undergoing deep systemic and structural transformations, challenged by the COVID-19 pandemic, geopolitical tensions, environmental crises and technological disruptions.
The meeting will welcome over 1,500 participants from nearly 90 countries, including 130 public figures, 800 business leaders and 100 innovators from various sectors. The meeting will also feature a plenary address by Li Qiang, the Premier of the People’s Republic of China.
The meeting aims to foster global and regional collaboration on key issues, such as global debt explosion, financial stability, generative artificial intelligence and electric vehicle adaptation. Moreover, more than 25 initiatives and coalitions will be launched or advanced at the meeting.
As Asia re-emerges as an important engine for worldwide growth, the meeting will provide a timely opportunity for in-person dialogues and updates on China’s economic outlook and that of the region as a whole.
The meeting will also showcase the role of entrepreneurship and innovation in driving a stronger recovery and creating a more equitable, sustainable and resilient global economy.
