Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has issued a stern warning to Israel following the assassination of a high-ranking Hamas leader, describing the act as a “big mistake” that will not go unanswered. The remarks come amidst heightened tensions in the region, raising concerns of potential retaliation and further escalation.
The Iranian President condemned the assassination, calling it a blatant act of aggression. “Israel’s recent actions in targeting and killing a senior Hamas figure are a grave mistake,” he stated. “Such actions will have serious repercussions, and they will not go unanswered.”
President Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran stands in solidarity with the Palestinian cause and will continue to support resistance movements against what he termed “Israeli oppression.” He also warned Israel to prepare for consequences, stating that any acts of aggression would be met with a strong and decisive response.
