A high-ranking military advisor from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has been reported martyred in a targeted Israeli airstrike in Syria. The incident, which occurred on Monday has escalated tensions in the already volatile region.
According to Press TV, the official news channel of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the seasoned IRGC commander, Seyyed Razi Mousavi, was actively serving as a military advisor in Syria, providing strategic counsel to Syrian forces engaged in the ongoing conflict.
In a statement, the IRGC said Mousavi was martyred in a criminal missile attack by the “fake and child-killing Zionist regime” adding that the usurping and savage Israeli regime would undoubtedly pay the price for this crime.
