The Israeli army announced on Friday night that it will continue its ground operations in the Gaza Strip, after launching a massive air and artillery bombardment on the Palestinian territory.

The Israeli army said it had deployed tanks, infantry and engineering units along the border with Gaza, and that they had entered the enclave in several locations.

The ground operation was preceded by a heavy aerial assault that lasted for several hours on Friday evening. The Israeli army has been committing war crimes and violating of international law by killing children, women and elders.

The horrific videos of the children’s dead bodies under debris raised the question on the legitimacy of international laws and conventions.
