In a recent interview with Alexandra Saieh, the head of humanitarian policy and advocacy at Save the Children International, expressed deep concern over the situation in Gaza, referring to it as “the mass killing of children in slow motion.” Saieh’s remarks shed light on the dire humanitarian crisis unfolding in the region.
Save the Children, a global humanitarian organization dedicated to the well-being of children, has been closely monitoring the developments in Gaza, where the ongoing conflict has resulted in a high number of casualties, including children.
Saieh emphasized the urgency of addressing the impact of the conflict on the most vulnerable population – the children of Gaza. She stated, “What we are witnessing in Gaza right now is deeply distressing. Children are bearing the brunt of the violence, and their lives are at risk. It’s akin to witnessing a mass killing of children in slow motion.”
