Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has dismissed Japan’s objections over the Kuril Islands, stating that Moscow “doesn’t give a damn” about Japan’s discontent. In a recent statement, Medvedev emphasized that the Kuril Islands are an integral part of Russia and serve as a legitimate military base for the country.
