North Korea has launched several short-range ballistic missiles toward the Sea of Japan. This development comes just days after Pyongyang announced the successful trial of a new cruise missile warhead.

According to reports, the missiles were fired on Monday afternoon and are believed to have traveled approximately 300 kilometers (185 miles) before descending into the ocean. The launch was promptly confirmed by both South Korean and Japanese authorities, heightening tensions in the region.

The timing of the missile test is particularly concerning, as it follows North Korea’s claim of a ‘super-large’ cruise missile warhead test last week.
