Among the injured was a 54-year-old American from New York City, who sustained minor injuries from being knocked down. Additionally, a 37-year-old Spanish man was gored by a bull.
The event, which attracts thousands of thrill-seekers from around the world, involves participants running ahead of six bulls and six tame oxen through the narrow streets of Pamplona. Despite the excitement, the festival has faced criticism from animal rights activists who argue that the event is cruel to the bulls.
