Iran has vowed to retaliate against new Western sanctions imposed over its alleged supply of missiles to Russia. The sanctions, announced by the U.S. and European allies, target Iranian officials and entities accused of facilitating arms shipments to Moscow, reportedly used in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
Tehran has strongly denied the accusations, stating that no weapons transfers to Russia have taken place.
Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani condemned the sanctions, describing them as an act of “economic terrorism” aimed at crippling the nation’s economy.
