Thousands rallied outside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s private residence to demand a truce-for-hostages deal that would bring their loved one’s home.
The protesters, who camped overnight outside Netanyahu’s home, expressed frustration and anger over his government’s lack of visible progress in securing the release captives, who have been held in Gaza since Hamas’ Oct. 7 terror attack on Southern Israel.
Netanyahu has insisted that the only way to free the hostages is by crushing Hamas through military means, but critics have accused him of preventing a Cabinet-level debate about a post-war scenario for Gaza and stalling in hopes of avoiding conflict that could potentially break up his right-wing ruling coalition.
