Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro has shown a revised map that includes a territory rich in resources that Guyana also claims as its own.

The map, which features the ‘Guyana Esequiba’ province, will be sent to schools and universities and made available to the public, Maduro announced on Tuesday.

The president also said that a bill to establish the new province has been presented to the nation’s legislature.
