Al Jazeera Media Network has strongly condemned the killing of the family of its journalist Wael Al-Dahdouh in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza City on Wednesday.

The network said in a statement that Al-Dahdouh’s wife, his four children, and his mother were among the 13 people who died when their residential building was hit by a missile.

Al-Dahdouh, who has been working for Al Jazeera Arabic since 2006, was not at home at the time of the attack. He said he received a call from his brother-in-law, who told him that his family had been killed.
